The T-boats aren't in trouble, it's a torpedo attack! The boats have launched their torpedoes and then turned away from you. By turning starboard to pursue the boats your captain is headed straight for the torpedoes. By great good luck, however, your ship is bows on to the torpedoes, your ship presents a very narrow target. Two torpedoes speed through the water, one passes on each side of your ship! A very narrow miss! The T- boats escape in the confusion but your crew is just happy to still be alive - unlike the fate of the Athabaska's crew.
