Good idea, Sailor, but it's not good enough for long!

Your ship's light 20mm and 40mm guns rake the deck of the U-Boat. For the moment the sub's crew can't get to their deck gun. But your small guns don't do much damage to the sub. The running gun battle continues. The sub does not try to dive - likely because that makes it any easy target for a depth charge attack. On the surface the sub is almost as fast as your ship, and it has a smaller turning circle. Your captain does not want the U-Boat to get a good line for a torpedo shot, and the sub wants to stay close enough to your ship to avoid shells from your cannons. However, the u-boat's gun crew has finally got to their 20mm cannon and it has started to inflict damage on your ship. There is a fire amidships on your deck, and cannon shells are whistling around the bridge where your captain is.

What should your captain do?

A. Make a full speed turn away from the u-boat. Fire depth charges and stern cannons. Create a smoke screen, and try to escape before your ship is damaged further.

B. Continue to stay close, keep firing as long as your can, and try to get other escort ships to come to your help.

C. Try using a series of emergency turns to see if you can line the u-boat up, and then ram it, to cut it in half. This will cause major damage to the bow of your ship. But it might work.
