Basic Training Test#8: Battlefield Tactics

Here are a series of tests concerning battlefield tactics, Private. To move on you have to demonstrate that you can think like a soldier.

What is the proper soldiers' attitude to the new "Trench Warfare"?

a.Trenches are not needed. They are just a crutch for soldiers who are afraid to attack. Only cowards want to hide in trenches.

b. The best strategy in this war is to think defensively. Do not waste manpower. Deep trenches with underground shelters will keep our soldiers safe.

c. Trenches help slow enemy attacks and provide some protection for our soldiers but the best attitude for a soldier is an aggressive attitude. Trenches are merely a temporary measure before victory.

d. Fighting in trenches is slow suicide. They let the enemy know exactly where to find our soldiers - making them easy targets for artillery shelling. Soldiers need to be mobile.
