February 2nd - An entire German Army is forced to surrender at Stalingrad.

In one of the largest and bloodiest battle in history the Red Army has won the Battle of Stalingrad. Despite suffered horrendous losses the Soviets refused to collapse under a massive German assault. After seven months of street-by-street and building-by-building fighting the Red Army succeeded in surrounding the entire German 6th Army and forcing it to surrender.
