On Leave: Colleen You and your mates find out that there's a dance on at a local hall. You and the local girls dance to songs by Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, and the Andrews Sisters. It's getting close to the time to return to your ship. You've had a great shore leave but your ship should be ready to sail tomorrow. At the dance the band plays a slow number "White Cliffs of Dover". You and Colleen - a local lass - enjoy a last slow dance together. As the song ends your mates call to you to "get the lead out". It's time to get back to the ship before curfew. Colleen looks into your eyes and asks if you have time "for a cuppa chai". As you hesitate your mates yell at you - it's time to get back to the ship. What do you do? |
