Naval Headlines: November, 1942

Nov 15 - Canadian destroyer Saguenay escorting an iron ore convoy off Cape Race, Newfoundland, is badly damaged in collision with freighter Azra near Cape Race. The freighter cuts off the Saguenay's stern. Depth charges from the destroyer's stern explode and sink the freighter. Saguenay is towed to St. John's and later used as a training ship as part of HMCS Cornwallis

Nov 27th - U-356 attacks slow convoy ONS154 escorted by the Canadian Cl group to the north of the Azores. Destroyer St Laurent and corvettes Battleford, Chilliwack and Napanee all share in her sinking. However, the convoy loses of 15 of its 45 ships in attacks by 17 other U-Boats
