Brest, France, June 14
You and your pals go on a short exploration around Brest. Unfortunately you get lost in a maze
of streets. By the time you find some familiar landmarks you don't see any other Allied soldiers.
What you did not know was that the Germans advanced on Brest much faster than expected. The British
and Canadian recon patrols were barely able to sound a warning before the Germans entered the city.
You and your pals are the last Allied soldiers in the city. The rest have retreated to their ships.
Suddenly you hear a harsh voice call out "Hande Hoch!" You turn towards the voice and see a squad of
German soldiers with their rifles pointed at you. You drop your weapons and raise your hands slowly.
After your surrender you and your pals are sent to a P.O.W. camp for the rest of the war. You are one
of the very first Canadians to become a prisoner. You will not be freed until May, 1945
