Brest, France, June 14
Staying near the ships makes you look like a coward, and you are disobeying orders.Patroling
the nearby streets for German scouts is not very dangerous and it turns out to be a very wise
move! The Germans are advancing on Brest much faster than expected. The British and Canadian
recon patrols are barely able to sound a warning in time. The Allied soldiers are ordered back to
their ships to withdraw as quickly as possible. The few soldiers who wandered too far never got back
in time. They became the first Canadian prisoners of war.
