1. Keep the numbers painted at the end of the runway just
visible through over the nose of the airplane.
2. Reduce engine power further, gently pull back on the stick
to "flare" the aircraft.
3. Reduce power to the engine to cut airspeed to 1.3 X stall
speed. Align the airplane's flight path with the runway centerline.
4 Use the wheel brakes and rudder to steer the plane to its
stopping point.
5. Deploy the plane's flaps. Lower the landing gear.
6.Continue to use back pressure on the control wheel to
keep the nose up. Fly just a few inches above the
runway's surface until it loses flying speed and the main
wheels "bump" on the tarmac.
