The best answer is B. While saving your plane would be wonderful, the longer you stay in the air, the greater the danger of a crash. Landing a 50,000 lb aircraft can be very difficult even with four engines. It's takes a full year to train all of your crew. It's much easier to replace the aircraft than the air crew. Baling out is the safest option for your crew.

July 5th - August 23rd: The Battle of Kursk
For forty-nine days the Red Army and the Wehrmacht hammered each other in the largest tank battle in history. The Germans attempted to break through multiple fortified defensive lines and surround and capture an entire Red Army Corps on a massive battlefield stretching battlefield 260 km long and 160 km deep. The Soviets were able to stop the German assault and launch two massive counter-attacks.
The battles involved almost 1 million German soldiers and 3250 tanks against 2.5 million Soviet soldiers and 7360 tanks. Despite suffering massive casualties the battle was a decisive Soviet victory. The tide of battle had turned in the East. From now on the Red Army was on the attack and the Germans on the defensive.
