A Canadian soldier's equipment

In 1914 a typical Canadian infantryman's kit would include shirt, trousers, suspenders, equipment webbing, socks, puttees ( to protect the ankles and seal off the trouser legs), boots, jacket, greatcoat, waterproof poncho/cape, cloth cap, haversack, cooking gear, canned and dry rations, canteen, bedroll, 120 rounds of ammunition, bayonet in a scabbard, and a rifle.

All of this would weigh a minimum of 25 kg.
